So Close...

I'm trying to get these Meilenweit Fun Socks done by Christmas, but the progress has been so slow. I keep getting distracted by other projects.

Meilenweit Fun Socks in Progress. Towards the bottom of the photo you can see a cool stitch marker Zoot gave me. I'm using it to mark the beginning of the round.

I'm past the gusset shaping and just have to knit about 2.5" more and then I can start decreasing for the toe. Nine more days until Christmas. I just might make it.

I learned the basics of knitting as a kid but I haven't done it for years. You've inspired me to find someone to help me give it a go once again.

Good luck with the socks.

Happy Holidays!

You go, 36 hours left! I vowed *not* to do any last-minute stressful Christmas knitting this year, and I ended up starting two corsages from that great Rowan book I showed you. One is finished and already in the recipient's hands, the other is almost done and should be ready by the day! I was feeling quite smug until the news that my sister's baby is likely to be born two weeks early. No way am I finishing that onesie by Monday!!

Oooh! Those socks look fantastic! I wish I knew how to knit socks....I'm only a beginner (but I'm fast), have knitted a scarf, an iPod 'sock' and am onto my second scarf. Will have to learn how to knit in the round so that I can do beanie...and eventually socks. ;)

I love the colour! And you're using the Lana Grossa! That's kind of the only yarn I can find in Munich that I like. :p
